About the Role A leading UK digital consultancy, recognised as a Times Top 100 Company, is looking for a Principal Delivery Manager to lead strategic delivery across central and local government digital programmes. Youll oversee multi-disciplinary teams delivering high-impact, user-centred services that improve outcomes for citizens and modernise public service operations.
Key Responsibilities Lead end-to-end delivery of complex government programmes in line with GDS and Agile governance
Shape delivery strategies, roadmaps and milestones across multiple workstreams
Engage with senior stakeholders CDOs, Programme Directors, policy and service owners
Coach and mentor Delivery Managers, ensuring high-performing, empowered teams
Embed Agile delivery practices, service standards, risk management and continuous improvement
Ensure compliance with GDS Service Standards, accessibility, security and procurement frameworks (e.g. DOS, G-Cloud)
What Youll Bring Proven experience as a Programme / Delivery Lead or Principal Delivery Manager in central or local government
Strong knowledge of GDS, Agile delivery, service design and digital governance
Experience managing multi-disciplinary teams (engineering, design, product, policy)
Confident working with senior civil servants and shaping delivery strategy at programme level
Able to manage budgets, risks, dependencies and supplier relationships
