As Cook Manager for Sodexo at Trinity Catholic School, Guys Cliffe Ave, Leamington Spa CV32 6NB, you will be responsible for leading the school's catering operation and ensuring the highest standards of food quality, service, compliance, and financial performance.
This is a busy and rewarding role, and it is important to note that the kitchen not only caters for Trinity Catholic School but also provides meals to a local primary school. As a result, the operation produces approximately 300 meals per day, making previous experience in high-volume catering environments highly beneficial.

What you do
* Lead and inspire your kitchen team, creating a positive and efficient working environment.
* Plan menus that are healthy, nutritious, appealing, and aligned with Sodexo standards.
* Manage food orders, deliveries, stock levels, and budgets effectively.
* Oversee all aspects of food preparation, presentation, and service.
* Ensure all health, safety, food hygiene, allergen, and compliance regulations are consistently met.
* Build and maintain strong working relationships with school staff, pupils, parents, and Sodexo colleagues.
* Conduct regular audits and maintain records to meet compliance and quality standards.
* Monitor financial performance and manage costs, including labour, food, and stock expenditure.
* Support, train, coach, and develop your team to help them succeed and thrive.
* Manage the replenishment of food during service and ensure work areas are left clean, safe, and compliant at the end of each day.
What you bring
* Must have expertise on cooking on a large scale, anywhere between 100 - 1300 students.
* Have experience following recipes, possibly in a similar setting.
* Have previous staff supervision experience or line management experience.
* Have experience working with fresh produce and ingredients.
* Be aware of the importance of adhering to health and safety procedures.
* Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines in a busy Kitchen environment.
* Be professional, leading by example and having a positive outlook is key.
* Hold basic food handling skills certification:
o NVQ Level 2
o Level 2 Food safety Certificate
o A minimum of 1 years of experience in hands on cooking,training on Food Hygiene, and Health & Safety will be given.

* Term Time only (39week Working Contract paid over 52 weeks)**
**Equated pay (sometimes known as spread-over pay) is a method of paying you for your contracted hours, working weeks and holiday pay spread over 12 months instead of just receiving pay during the months that you work and none during the school closures/non-working weeks. This means that you get paid equal amounts of pay every month. Further information will be supplied at interview stage.**
