Senior Health & Safety Advisor – Construction/ Rail / Infrastructure
Location: Old Oak Common / Acton
Salary: £40,000–£60,000 + £6,000 car allowance + benefits
We’re working with a leading Tier 2 engineering contractor delivering mechanical, electrical, and telecommunications solutions across major UK infrastructure projects — including Rail, Highways, Power, and Tunnelling.
This role sits within a high-profile joint venture delivering MEP and Fire Systems for one of London’s largest and most complex transport hubs. It’s an excellent opportunity for an experienced Health & Safety professional to take the lead on a landmark project that’s transforming UK rail.
The Role
As Senior Health & Safety Advisor, you’ll play a central role in driving a positive health and safety culture across project delivery teams. You’ll act as the key point of contact for H&S matters, ensuring compliance, supporting site teams, and leading safety initiatives in partnership with client and contractor representatives.
Key responsibilities include:

Leading implementation of H&S policies and procedures across the project.

Conducting inspections, audits, and risk assessments to maintain compliance.
*
Supporting and coaching delivery teams and contractors in best practice.
*
Leading incident investigations and embedding lessons learned.
*
Coordinating and delivering safety briefings and training.
*
Interfacing with client H&S representatives and JV partners.
*
Monitoring and improving overall H&S performance.
About You
We’re looking for an experienced, proactive Health & Safety professional with a strong background in major infrastructure or rail projects. You’ll bring excellent communication and influencing skills, with the ability to engage teams at all levels and drive continuous improvement.
Essential qualifications & experience:

NEBOSH Diploma (or equivalent)
*
Membership of IOSH (TechIOSH or higher)
*
Proven experience in a senior H&S role within major projects
*
Strong knowledge of UK legislation and industry best practice
*
Confident communicator with the ability to influence and lead
*
Full UK driving licence
