Location: Livingston Salary: £50,000 + Benefits Job Type: Full-time, PermanentWe are proud to be partnering with a well-established organisation to recruit a Technical Engineer to join their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a technically skilled professional to play a key role in ensuring product quality, supporting production processes, and providing expert technical guidance across the business.Your New RoleAs a Technical Engineer, you will take ownership of product verification, including inspection and testing, while supporting both production and sales teams with technical expertise. You will be responsible for ensuring compliance with product specifications, supporting process improvements, and maintaining high quality standards.Key responsibilities will include:Managing product verification, including inspection and testing activitiesPlanning and prioritising inspection workloads in line with production and machine shop requirementsCoordinating incoming and in-process inspectionsProviding technical support to production and sales teams, particularly around product specifications and raw material selectionMaintaining PCN/ASNT Level II certification and administering team certificationsLiaising with the Welding Team Leader on repairs and defect resolutionCollaborating closely with the Quality Manager on quality-related mattersApproving heat treatment and mechanical testing processesProducing technical drawings in line with client requirementsAttending daily team leader and management meetings, providing updates on performanceSupporting technical input on welding issues, including WPQRsWhat Youll Need to SucceedA strong technical background with relevant industry experienceKnowledge of inspection and testing processes within a manufacturing or engineering environmentExperience working with product specifications and material selectionStrong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workloads effectivelyExcellent communication skills, with the ability to work both independently and collaborativelyRelevant certifications (e.g.
