Senior Accounts and Settlement Technician (Fiduciary Team), Witham
Our Client Support Services department has an opportunity for a Senior Fiduciary Technician to work in the Facultative Team. This role offers a hybrid working arrangement, with two days working from home and three days based in our Witham office.
As a Fiduciary Technician, you will be responsible for securing agreement and settlement of balances with clients or markets. You will handle and allocate payments and receipts for your own clients, including managing unique lines of business, programme structures, and reinsurance reporting requirements.

Key responsibilities:
* Manage your workload independently, including defining cases and resolving issues
* Work autonomously on routine tasks, consulting with senior colleagues as needed
* Partner with Operations Specialists to support root cause analysis and process improvements
* Process premiums and loss transactions, including cash follow-up and fund disbursement
* Coordinate with Client Service Support and colleagues to ensure a unified approach
* Maintain clear working papers to support investigations and methodologies used in decision-making
* Support wider activities such as quarterly reviews of financial exposures and achieving key performance targets
* Support client activities including processing transactions, securing recoveries, and accurate system entry
Essential requirements:
* Knowledge of Accounts & Settlement processes
* Understanding of currency transactions, reinsurance concepts, laws, and regulations (e.g., FCA)
* Proven track record in client account and relationship management
* Ability to manage workload effectively and set appropriate expectations
* Strong data management and analytical skills
* Client-focused approach and problem-solving skills for payment reconciliation
Preferred qualifications:
* Experience in Insurance or Reinsurance accounting and settlement
* Knowledge of Bureau markets
* Experience working with currencies
* Mentoring or training colleagues
