DWP. Digital with Purpose. We are looking for an Infrastructure Engineer for our Desktop Quality Assurance Team to join our community of tech experts in DWP Digital. What skills, knowledge and experience will you need?
* 2nd / 3rd line knowledge of Intune, Autopilot, Azure, Task Sequences, BIOS updates, Configuration Manager, Citrix, and Windows 11 Desktops at the Enterprise level ~30k Devices and above.
* Enterprise Scale Software Deployment and Desktop Management.
* Testing infrastructure products, preparing test scripts and reports.
* Analysing defects and root cause analysis.
* Managing pre‑prod, dev and test environments.
You and your role
You’ll be making sure our desktop services run smoothly and securely. You’ll take ownership of Windows 11 builds and Evergreen updates, ensuring everything integrates seamlessly. You’ll design and implement automation scripts to make processes faster and more efficient and you’ll keep a close eye on changes, so nothing goes into production with defects.
You’ll work with technologies such as Intune, Autopilot, Microsoft Configuration Manager, WSUS and Windows 365, as well as tools like Citrix, Ivanti and Zscaler. Expect to re‑engineer solutions, provide technical assurance and support virtual machines using Hyper‑V. You’ll also manage software distribution, encryption with BitLocker and configuration policies across our Windows Enterprise environment.
