Higher Level Teaching Assistant Location: Bristol Start Date: January 2026 Contract Type: Full-time | Term Time Only Monarch Education is working with a partner Secondary school in Bristol that supports pupils aged 11-16, who are in need of a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to support pupils in classes on a longer term basis from January 2026. The ideal person would also have SEND experience, a background in supporting pupils with SEMH and be Team Teach (TT) trained (This is preferred and not essential and training can be provided) The school is known for its warm, structured environment and its commitment to helping every student reach their full potential-academically, socially, and emotionally. What You'll Be Doing: Supporting students within a vibrant and dynamic secondary school classroom, helping them stay engaged and focused. Working one-to-one or in small groups to deliver tailored learning and emotional support. Helping with sensory activities and structured routines. Encouraging independence and celebrating small wins every day. What We're Looking For: Experience working with children or young people with SEND Someone who's caring, patient, resilient, reliable, and not afraid to get stuck in. Good communication skills and a team-player attitude.
