Hire and Sales Coordinator – Haydock Speedy Hire – The UK’s Leading Hire Provider Hours: Monday to Friday, 07:30–17:00 (37.5 hours per week) Speedy is the UK’s leading hire provider with the widest range of tools, specialist equipment, plant, and support services — everything for every job. About the Role As a Hire and Sales Coordinator, you will play a key role in delivering a seamless customer experience. Your responsibilities will include: Key Duties Acting as the first point of contact for incoming customer enquiries via phone and email Handling the full hire process — from initial request and equipment selection to order processing and off-hire management Providing accurate information on product availability, hire rates, delivery times, and technical specifications Coordinating with logistics, drivers, engineers, and other depots to ensure timely delivery and collection of equipment Maintaining accurate hire records and updating internal systems Building strong relationships with both new and existing customers, ensuring repeat business Identifying opportunities to upsell or cross-sell additional products and services Resolving customer queries, issues, or complaints efficiently and professionally Supporting depot colleagues with administrative tasks and general branch operations Contributing to stock checks, yard organisation, and equipment control where necessary Ensuring compliance with company health & safety standards and environmental responsibilities What Success Looks Like in This Role High levels of customer satisfaction Accurate and efficient processing of hires and returns Strong working relationships across the Speedy network Demonstrating initiative and ownership of customer needs Actively contributing to business growth and depot performance What You Need A strong customer focus with the ability to build rapport quickly Confidence handling multiple enquiries at once while maintaining attention to detail Ability to use initiative when making decisions or problem-solving A collaborative approach, supporting colleagues to maintain a positive workplace culture Drive to maximise commercial opportunities Ability to support the business unit in delivering our ESG Strategy – Decade to Deliver Previous experience in hire, construction, plant, or a customer service environment is desirable but not essential — full training is provided.
