Northumberland County Council is currently seeking a Qualified Children’s Social Worker to join our Central FACT Team. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to a committed local authority, delivering vital support to children and families across the region.
🔍 Your Key Responsibilities:
* Manage a caseload of children in need, child protection, and children in care.
* Undertake assessments, care planning, and direct work with children and their families.
* Collaborate with multi-agency partners to ensure the best outcomes for children.
* Ensure that statutory responsibilities are carried out in line with relevant legislation and best practice.
* Contribute to case discussions, planning meetings, and child protection conferences.
✅ What We’re Looking For:
* Qualified Social Worker, registered with Social Work England.
* Proven experience in statutory children’s social care, including safeguarding and care planning.
* Strong assessment, recording, and communication skills.
* Ability to build relationships with children, families, and professionals.
* Commitment to high-quality, child-centred social work practice.
