Our client, a respected educational institution located in the charming coastal town of Great Yarmouth, Norfolk, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Full-time Higher Level Teaching Assistant (SEN) to join their supportive team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in assisting teachers in the delivery of high-quality education to students with special educational needs.
Responsibilities
* Collaborate with teachers to develop and implement individualised learning plans tailored to the specific needs of each student.
* Provide one-on-one support and small group instruction to help students overcome learning challenges and achieve their full potential.
* Assist in the preparation of teaching materials and resources that cater to the diverse learning styles and needs of students with SEN.
* Monitor student progress, maintain accurate records, and communicate regularly with teachers and parents regarding student development.
* Promote a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere that fosters student engagement, motivation, and well-being.
* Support students with personal care needs, such as mobility, hygiene, and medical requirements, as necessary.
Qualifications
* Relevant teaching assistant qualification at Level 3 or above, with a focus on special educational needs.
* Proven experience working with students with SEN in an educational setting.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, colleagues, and parents.
* A patient, empathetic, and caring approach to supporting students with diverse needs.
* Proficiency in adapting teaching methods and resources to accommodate individual learning requirements.

Salary and Development
