This role acts as the primary owner for the site’s comprehensive Reliability Plan, driving a culture focused on advanced preventative and predictive maintenance strategies to eliminate unplanned downtime. The Senior RME Manager also owns and executes all major RME capital projects and long-term engineering initiatives to improve system performance and support future operational growth. What You Will Be Doing: Reliability Strategy: Own, develop, and implement the overall Preventative (PM) and Predictive Maintenance (PdM) strategy for all material handling equipment, robotics systems, and associated engineering controls to maximize equipment uptime and system longevity. Work with our CMMS Manager to drive excellence in the utilization of the Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to schedule work, track assets, manage critical spare parts inventory, and leverage data for predictive maintenance insights and reliability improvements. Role modelling the Company’s DNA and ensuring that these are followed by the team. Implement and enforce RME engineering standards, best practices, and work methods across the team, focusing on Root Cause Analysis (RCA) to systematically eliminate recurring equipment and system issues. Develop and track KPIs for the engineering team, including equipment uptime, efficiency, and maintenance costs. Act as the end-to-end owner for all RME-related engineering projects, including equipment upgrades, system modifications, new technology rollouts, and capital expenditure (CapEx) initiatives that enhance throughput and reliability. Maintain a long-term focus by collaborating with Operations leadership, Finance, and EU Engineering teams to plan for future equipment end-of-life replacement, upgrades, and system design improvements using rigorous ROI analysis Manage the installation and commissioning of new automation equipment, ensuring that it is integrated into our existing systems and meets the required safety and regulatory standards. Develop and maintain relationships with key vendors and contractors, ensuring that they deliver on their commitments. Develop and maintain maintenance schedules, ensuring that all equipment is maintained to the required standards and minimising downtime. Develop and implement training programs for the engineering team, ensuring that they are equipped with the knowledge and skills required to operate and maintain the automation equipment. Ensuring that Food Safety and Health & Safety standards are met and sustainably maintained. You are required to cooperate with HelloFresh in all health and safety matters. You are responsible for ensuring your own health, safety and welfare in the activities you undertake. You must report incidents immediately and actively raise health and safety-related concerns to your Line Manager Who You Are: Essential Qualifications and Skills: NVQ/HNC in Engineering. Level 3 Management qualification. Relevant engineering experience, including managing large-scale automation projects. Proven project management skills with a track record of successful project execution. Ability to present data accurately and succinctly. Proficiency in MS Office applications. Strong knowledge of SOPs and engineering standards. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, capable of making data-driven decisions and implementing continuous improvement initiatives. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Ability to drive a culture of high performance, safety, compliance, and continuous improvement. Exceptional time management skills, balancing multiple priorities effectively. Strong leadership skills, with experience managing teams of engineers and technicians. Lead by example, embedding company values and culture into everyday operations. Willingness to travel as required to support site launches and ongoing operations. Preferred / Advantageous Qualifications: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or a related field. Experience with Dematic automation systems. Proficiency with G-Suite software. Strong knowledge of food production processes, equipment, and regulatory requirements.
