Role Overview
The Project Manager will be responsible for site-based leadership, overseeing all planning, coordination, and operational aspects of the construction project. Reporting to the Project Lead, you will manage site teams, ensure compliance with company standards, and maintain strong client relationships throughout project delivery.
This role requires a hands-on leader with a solid background in building services, infrastructure, or healthcare construction who can drive performance, maintain programme integrity, and uphold quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
Project Delivery & Leadership
* Manage and coordinate all site-based activities to ensure timely, efficient, and high-quality project delivery.
* Provide clear leadership to the site team, promoting collaboration, accountability, and a positive working culture.
* Act as the primary contact for clients, consultants, and professional teams.
* Ensure all work complies with internal quality systems, processes, and statutory regulations.
Planning & Performance
* Oversee daily and weekly project planning, including 4-week look-ahead schedules and progress tracking.
* Lead weekly progress and coordination meetings, recording key actions and updates.
* Monitor project milestones, record delays, and implement recovery and mitigation strategies where required.
* Support accurate reporting through internal project management systems and software.
Client & Stakeholder Management
* Maintain proactive communication with clients and stakeholders, ensuring expectations are managed and issues addressed promptly.
* Prepare and present regular progress reports for internal and client review meetings.
* Participate in building control, design coordination, and progress meetings as required.
Quality, Safety & Compliance
* Uphold health, safety, and environmental standards across the site.
* Drive adoption of company project management tools and digital platforms.
* Support social value and sustainability initiatives in line with company objectives.
Experience & Qualifications
* Degree or equivalent qualification in Construction Management, Building Services, Engineering, or related discipline.
* Demonstrable experience in site-based project management within building, infrastructure, or healthcare sectors.
* Strong understanding of construction planning, quality management, and HSE standards.
* Proven ability to manage multiple stakeholders and maintain client relationships.
* Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
* Proficient in project management and reporting software (e.g., Asta Powerproject, 4P, Multivista, or similar).
