These roles are central to our community support network, helping residents navigate challenging circumstances with empathy and clarity. You'll play a vital part in ensuring people receive the assistance they need promptly and efficiently reducing financial pressures and improving quality of life. As a Benefits Assessment Officer, you'll use systems and tools to deliver accurate, comprehensive benefits solutions while maintaining exceptional customer satisfaction. Your responsibilities will include administering Housing Benefit and Council Tax Assistance, working closely with colleagues and partners to provide positive, customer-focused interventions. You will assess and process new claims, reviews, and changes in circumstances and respond to customer enquiries and provide advice on Housing Benefit, Council Tax Assistance, and other welfare benefits. You will also conduct home visits when required to support customers effectively. About You Outstanding customer service skills are essential, along with the ability to engage confidently with people from all walks of life and handle demanding situations professionally.
