The role
As a Senior Systems Engineer, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. You'll play a pivotal role in delivering high-impact systems engineering across a major long-term nuclear programme.
Day-to-day, you'll be required to:
* Lead and direct systems engineering activities across complex programmes
* Allocate tasks and oversee delivery from a team of systems engineers
* Mentor and support junior engineers to grow capability across the team
* Deliver hands‑on systems engineering including requirements, architecture, and integration
* Lead and contribute to technical and design reviews with key stakeholders
This is a full-time role working 37 hours per week at either our Bristol or Warrington, Cheshire site. Hybrid working patterns are available.
Essential experience of the Senior Systems Engineer
* Demonstrating strong systems engineering experience across requirements engineering, system architecture, integration, verification and validation
* Leading or mentoring engineers within engineering teams
* Working on complex, multidisciplinary engineering programmes
* Reviewing technical outputs and leading engineering or design reviews
* Applying full lifecycle systems engineering expertise
Qualifications for the Senior Systems Engineer
* Degree in Engineering or equivalent experience
* Chartered Engineer status or working towards chartership (desirable)
Security Clearance
