Medical Education and MedicalStaffing has a key role in ensuring the Trust achieves the highest clinicalstandards. High quality Medical Education supports patient safety, servicedelivery and the maintenance of up-to-date clinical practice.

Medical Education and MedicalStaffing is regulated by the General Medical Council and Health EducationEngland. The Trust is required to engage with the national quality assurancestipulations via regular quality visits and reports.

Asthe Medical InductionAdministrator you will be the lead point of contactfor medical new starters to the trust, ensuring information is shared betweenthe two departments to ensure new starters receive a timely welcome andinduction to the trust.


Main duties of the job

Assistand facilitate Inductions including providing administrative support both inthe run up and on the day. Request appropriate IT access and accounts. Creation and issue of induction packs.

Supportthe recruitment of vacant posts as a result of training gaps from the Deanery.

Supportthe production of induction materials for Medical Staff at all grades.

Supportreturn to work of Medical Staff at all levels as a result of long-term sicknessor maternity.

Provide support at the end ofeach rotation and record appropriately. The issue of surveys/feedback.

Working independently, act as a first point ofcontact for the department, dealing with routine and specialist enquires in apleasant and helpful manner communicating relevant information to stakeholders.

Answer telephone calls, taking messages andpassing on accurately to the relevant person / department.

Create email distribution lists and starter /leaver

To set up and maintain departmentaldistribution lists for medical staff, educational faculty and student doctors.

Create and maintain a departmental diaryhighlighting when important dates are approaching.

To contribute to the Health & Safety andRisk Management requirements of the Medical Education and Medical Staffing Departmentsand the facilities it manages.

Liaising with security regarding anyaccess issues and escalating as appropriate.

General administration tasks associatedwith Medical HR and Medical Education Team includingrecording of student and doctor absence
