The post is based in the CAMEO Early Intervention in Psychosis Service in Peterborough.
CAMEO is a multi-award-winning community mental health service for people aged who are experiencing a first-episode psychosis. The focus is on recognising and treating psychotic experiences early to provide better outcomes and an improved chance of recovery. CAMEO is expanding to become a -year age inclusive (-) early intervention in psychosis service.
CAMEO provides a holistic service including a wide range of psychological interventions, educational and vocational plans, support with housing, finances, and leisure activities as well alongside expert Psychiatric assessment and treatment .
CAMEO accepts direct referrals from any source, including patients and relatives. CAMEO has strong links with the department of psychiatry at the University of Cambridge and is involved in world class research projects. CAMEO has influenced changes in policies and practice at national and international level.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will work with consultant Psychiatrists in the CAMEO North team based in Peterborough to provide assessment, treatment reviews and clinical input for patients across the team with the support and supervision of the consultants.
