Building Management System (BMS) Technician required for a well-established client based in Loughborough.
Job Purpose:
Seeking a skilled BMS (Building Management System) Technician to support the operation, maintenance, and optimisation of building automation systems, focusing on Trend IQVision, Niagara 4, and Skyspark platforms to ensure optimal building performance, energy efficiency, and occupant comfort across campus facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
* Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot BMS platforms including Trend IQVision and Niagara 4.
* Monitor and analyse building performance using Skyspark to identify inefficiencies and faults.
* Perform scheduled and reactive maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on BMS-controlled systems like HVAC, lighting, and utilities.
* Collaborate with colleagues, contractors, and energy managers on system upgrades and improvements.
* Maintain documentation, wiring schematics, and asset records.
* Assist in commissioning and integrating new building projects or retrofits.
* Support energy-saving initiatives and sustainability strategies.
* Ensure health and safety compliance during all activities.
Person Specification:
* Proven BMS Technician experience, preferably in complex estates or universities.
* Strong knowledge of Trend IQVision and Niagara 4 systems.
* Familiarity with Skyspark or similar platforms.
* Electrical or Mechanical Engineering background (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent).
* Proficiency in fault-finding, system tuning, and control logic.
* Ability to work independently, prioritise, and manage time.
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
* Trend Control Systems certification (e.g., Trend Expert or IQ commissioning).
* Niagara AX/N4 certification or training.
* Experience with BACnet, Modbus, and other protocols.
* Understanding of low-carbon technologies and sustainability principles.
