Our client, a global, family-owned automotive services company seeks a commercially minded 8-10 PQE Legal Counsel to join its dynamic team based in Chippenham. In this varied and impactful role, you will lead on providing comprehensive and vital legal support for the UK business. You will provide strategic, commercially focussed legal support on a variety of matters across the business, including transactional agreements, legal risk and commercial contracts. Drafting and negotiating a variety of commercial contracts, such as supply, vendor and customer agreements.
Proactively supporting the UK management teams in relation to the avoidance and reduction of legal risk.
Support the creation and implementation of corporate legal compliance programs.
Assist the Regions General Counsel Europe when required.
Proven experience in a financial services, fleet management or automotive in-house setting.
Background in both private practice and in-house roles preferred.
Expertise in commercial contracts, compliance, M&A, and business transactions.
Skilled in legal research, writing, communication, and stakeholder influence.
Ability to balance legal rigor with commercial pragmatism.
Track record of excellent judgment, collaboration, and emotional intelligence.
Passion for mentoring, development, and helping others succeed.
