Location: Belper, Derbyshire (Hybrid working)

About the Role
This is a role where Finance meets Business Support. Due to continued growth, a new role has been created and we are seeking an Office Manager/Business Support Executive who is as equally strong to take on the finance responsibilities across the company. This is not your typical finance role! Finance accounts for around 70 % of the position (although it requires more than just inputting invoices, you will prepare weekly/monthly financial reports), while the rest of the work is focused on business support, administration, and light PA duties .
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is at least part-qualified in finance and really enjoys a varied role in a dynamic environment.
What Youll Do
Your day will be varied and impactful, including:
Finance Support
Process supplier invoices, staff expenses, and payment runs
Maintain ledgers and reconcile accounts
Assist with payroll administration and timesheet checks
Prepare weekly/monthly financial reports for management
Assist with budget monitoring and variance reporting
Support audits and VAT returns
Business Support & PA Duties
Organise meetings, agendas, and minutes
Liaise with suppliers and customers to resolve queries and chase outstanding payments
Arrange travel and accommodation
Assist with compliance activities and internal audits
Provide PA support to the MD and Senior Leadership Team
HR Administration
Maintain employee records and HR databases
Support the team with recruitment and onboarding
Track absences, holidays, and training records
Travel within the UK may be required from time to time.
What Were Looking For
Part-qualified in a recognised finance qualification (AAT, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
Previous experience in finance administration
Experience with accountancy systems and finance practices
Strong organisational skills and proactive approach
Excellent attention to detail, communication and problem-solving skills
Discretion and professionalism with sensitive information
