Sports Teaching Assistant
Plymouth
Full-time, long-term position starting September
Salary: £90 - £100 per day
We are seeking a UQT Sports Facilitator or Sports Teaching Assistant for a fantastic opportunity to make a difference through sport and physical activity. The ideal candidate will have coaching or youth work experience and understand sport as a tool for engagement, regulation, and personal development.
You will join a supportive staff team, helping to shape the lives and education of pupils who have been permanently excluded or require bespoke educational provision.
You will facilitate learning for groups of up to 10 KS3 and KS4 pupils of mixed abilities, each supported by a dedicated Learning Mentor.

Responsibilities include:
* Guiding students along their educational journey.
* Using various strategies to meet individual student needs.
* Collaborating with teachers, therapists, and families to develop support plans.
* Creating a positive atmosphere to enhance social and communication skills.
* Implementing interventions and activities to support academic progress.
Requirements:
* Relevant sport/coaching experience and qualifications.
* Effective communication skills.
* UK driving license and own car (preferred).
* Traits such as compassion, patience, and empathy.
* Adaptability and flexibility.
* Strong commitment to student well-being and success.

* Hold a DBS registered with the update service or be willing to apply for one through GSL Education.
