About the Role
We are seeking compassionate and qualified Counsellors to join our team. This role will be based on site at our Rotherham Central Hub. You will provide trauma-informed, professional counselling to diverse service users, as they live with the impact of abuse and complex needs. This is a rewarding opportunity to work part time hours, typically across three days per week, with the chance to shape your shift pattern to meet both your needs and those of the service.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver trauma-informed counselling to adults children and young people affected by abuse.
* Conduct initial assessments and develop safe, clear therapeutic contracts with service users.
* Maintain high standards of ethical practice, safeguarding, and confidentiality.
* Support the development and delivery of trauma-informed programmes and groups.
* Take part in the recruitment, induction, and mentoring of volunteers and students.
* Work collaboratively with multi-agency professionals to ensure coordinated care and safeguarding.
What We are Looking For
* Minimum Level 4 diploma in counselling required
* Experience working with trauma, domestic abuse, child sexual exploitation, or related complex needs.
* Strong communication, empathy, and active listening skills.
* Ability to work flexibly and collaboratively as part of a supportive team.
* Commitment to anti-discriminatory practice and promoting equal opportunities.
