Quantity Surveyor

We are recruiting for a Quantity Surveyor to join a well-established and forward-thinking commercial team, working on a long-term framework contract. The successful candidate will contribute to the delivery of a range of critical infrastructure schemes designed to enhance connectivity across the North of England.

You will report directly to a Senior Quantity Surveyor and Commercial Manager, and will take on a key role in driving value, managing costs, and maintaining commercial control throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
* Take full commercial ownership of designated work packages from inception to final account
* Carry out cost-value reconciliations and detailed financial reporting
* Oversee subcontractor management, including procurement, valuations, and final accounts
* Ensure compliance with NEC contracts, identifying and managing early warnings, compensation events, and change control
* Support the wider commercial team in cost planning, forecasting, and risk management
* Foster close working relationships with project delivery teams, subcontractors, and stakeholders to drive collaborative outcomes
To be successful in this role, you should have the following:
* Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor, ideally within highways, civil engineering, or infrastructure projects
* A solid understanding of NEC suite of contracts, particularly Option A and C
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple commercial responsibilities concurrently
* A proactive, self-motivated approach with the confidence to manage your workload independently
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration across project teams
