Thor Explorations Ltd. (TSX-V/AIM: THX) is a West-Africa-focused gold exploration and
production company with operations and development projects across multiple jurisdictions,
including Nigeria, Senegal, and Cote D'Ivoire. The Company is rapidly expanding its portfolio,
with an operating gold mine in Nigeria, a fully owned licence in Senegal, approaching the prefeasibility
study phase, a preliminary feasibility study, and multiple exploration assets in Nigeria

The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the exploration and technical teams by managing geological databases, ensuring data integrity, and coordinating GIS workflows across projects.
Position Overview
Thor Explorations is seeking a Database and GIS Coordinator to oversee the Company's
geological and exploration data systems, as well as its operational databases. Based in London,
the role will involve the organisation, maintenance, and analysis of spatial and geological data
from multiple exploration sites across West Africa. The candidate will also be responsible for
ensuring data accuracy, integrity, and availability to support mining exploration, development and
operational decision making. The candidate will also be required to generate, manage, and update
digital maps, cross-sections, and spatial datasets for internal reports, investor materials, and at the
corporate level.
This position is initially part-time and flexible, ideal for a self-motivated individual with strong
technical skills and an interest in the mining and exploration sector. The role offers the potential
to transition into a full-time, permanent position as the company continues to grow and expand its
exploration portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
• Manage, maintain, and validate geological, survey, exploration, and operational databases to
ensure data accuracy, completeness, consistency and integrity.
• Coordinate GIS workflows across all exploration projects and jurisdictions.
• Develop, implement, and support GIS mapping solutions, spatial data analysis, and
visualisation tools
• Compile, clean, and integrate field data, drilling data, and assay results into central database
systems.
• Collect, validate, and interpret spatial and non-spatial data from various sources
• Generate, manage, and update digital maps, cross-sections, and spatial datasets for internal
reports, investor materials, and at the corporate level.
• Support exploration teams with data analysis, data visualisation, and spatial interpretation.
• Liaise with field geologists, database administrators, and consultants to ensure consistent data
flow from site to head office.
• Collaborate with Geologists, Engineers, and other stakeholders such as the Community and
Environmental to understand data requirements and deliver GIS solutions that optimise
exploration and operations.
• Ensure compliance with data management standards and company policies.
• Develop and maintain standardised data management and GIS protocols across the company.
• Provide GIS and database support for resource modelling, exploration targeting, and technical
reporting.
• Assist in preparing datasets and spatial products for regulatory filings, NI reports, and
internal presentations.
• Maintain consistency in data collection, storage and presentation across all sites: Nigeria,
Senegal and Cote d'Ivoire
• Perform QAQC data analysis and generate reports.
• Provide training and technical support to staff on GIS tools and database systems.
• Continuously evaluate and improve database and GIS workflows to enhance data
management processes.
Qualifications & Experience
Essential:
• Qualification in Geology, GIS, Geoscience, Data Science, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years' experience
• Proven experience with GIS platforms (ArcGIS, QGIS) and geological database software
(e.g., acQuire, Datashed, or similar).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail and data integrity.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple datasets across projects and jurisdictions.
• Understanding of geochemical, geophysical, and drilling data structures.
Desirable:
• Experience in the mining or mineral exploration sector, ideally with West African exposure.
• Proficiency in SQL databases and data management principles.
• Familiarity with drilling and point data sets
• Basic programming or scripting knowledge (Python, VBA, or similar) for data automation.
• Familiarity with Leapfrog, Micromine, or other geological modeling software.
• Experience with Integrated On-Line Databases such as Maxgeo's DataShed5
• Familiarity with 3D modelling, CAD, and remote sensing data
