Part-145 Maintenance Manager vacancy at St Athan (157jc)
Location: St Athan. Salary: £100,000 plus benefits including 25 days holiday, pension contribution (3% employer, 5% employee) and bonus scheme (dependent on personal and company goals).
Responsibilities
* Lead the Maintenance Operations team, providing strong leadership, direction, and management focused on safety, people, quality, service delivery, and cost.
* Ensure compliance with Part 145 MOEs and all relevant regulations.
* Enact the safety strategy and contribute proactively to the overall safety impact of the business.
* Determine and manage actions for non‑compliances, establishing robust processes and frameworks.
* Develop and maintain positive stakeholder relationships with regulatory bodies.
* Lead, organise, measure, and drive performance of the operations team to support company goals and objectives.
* Provide technical support to the operational team when required.
* Design, develop, and deliver management processes to comply with regulatory and business requirements.
* Proactively measure, monitor, and evaluate operational KPIs, taking appropriate actions to maintain performance levels.
Qualifications
* 10+ years of aircraft maintenance experience, preferably with lessor experience.
* A degree or equivalent knowledge/skill via experience, other qualifications, and training/development.
* Credible team leader with strong communication, influencing and negotiation skills, especially within organisations undergoing significant transformation.
* Senior level MRO experience, evidenced by successful delivery of outputs and outcomes.
* Ability to manage a range of project types, complex business initiatives, and change programmes.
* Proven continuous improvement skills with clear commercial acumen and business case assurance.
* People‑focused leadership, tailoring approach to achieve best from the team.
* Strong conflict resolution, relationship building with internal and external stakeholders.
* Background in safety management systems and quality assurance practices within aviation maintenance.
* Experience as a Form 4 postholder.
* EASA Part‑66 Aircraft Maintenance License (preferred).
