Electromechanical Draughtsman – Permanent Opportunity
Location: Leicester, UK
We’re currently supporting one of our long-term clients, a leading engineering organisation within the power and electrification sector, who are looking to hire an Electromechanical Draughtsman to join their growing design team.
Role Overview:
You’ll be responsible for producing detailed 2D and 3D drawings for electrical and mechanical assemblies, supporting the design, build, and commissioning of bespoke equipment. This is a great opportunity for someone with strong draughting experience who enjoys collaborating closely with both design and production teams.
Key Responsibilities:
* Prepare detailed electromechanical drawings, layouts, and schematics using Autodesk Inventor or AutoCAD
* Interpret design concepts, specifications, and engineering data.
* Support engineers in developing new and existing product designs.
* Ensure all drawings comply with relevant engineering and industry standards.
* Work cross-functionally with electrical, mechanical, and manufacturing teams to resolve design and production challenges.
Requirements:
* HNC/HND or equivalent
* Proven experience as an Electromechanical Draughtsman / Design Draughtsperson in a heavy engineering environment.
* Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, Autodesk Inventor, or similar).
* Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical principles.
* Excellent attention to detail and documentation skills.
