About the role
We have a number of Associate Lecturer opportunities working for one of our subsidiary companies, Sparks Teaching Services. You will provide support on a specified module or modules, including the preparation and delivery of Lectures, Workshops and Practical Sessions to our dedicated students.
The Associate Lecturer role is a flexible hours contract, offering a range of working patterns and flexibility, both permanent and temporary. This is designed to enable STS to respond to fluctuations in the demand for staffing requirements across college. As this will be a role contracted for 0 hours, the work required may vary from week to week and from month to month. Your specific hours will be detailed by the relevant manager and will be discussed during the interview.
We are currently looking for Associate Lecturers who have experience in the following areas: Chef/Cooking, Healthcare Science, Early Years, Physics, and Aviation.
Main duties may include but not limited to:
Formal scheduled delivery of learning and teaching
Preparation of teaching materials
Assessment and moderation
Curriculum and assessment design as appropriate
Responsibility for administration relevant to the post.
Student Support
Independent Studies supervision
Attendance at Meetings e.g. Programme Committees and Subject/Team Meetings
Participation in Continuous Professional Development
Participation in student monitoring and reporting, course review and evaluation process.
Participation in quality assurance and controls procedure.

As the successful candidate, you will be offered an hourly rate of between £13.92 - £21.65, depending on duties performed.
