We are seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our team as a cook. Duties
* Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and standards
* Assist in meal preparation, ensuring that all ingredients are prepped and ready for service
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, adhering to food safety regulations
* Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service and high-quality food presentation
* Monitor stock levels and assist in inventory management, reporting any shortages or issues
* Participate in menu planning and development, offering creative input based on culinary trends
* Provide exceptional service during meal times, assisting with plating and serving as needed
Experience
* Previous experience in a kitchen environment is essential, preferably within a restaurant / school /care home /or hotel.
* Strong culinary skills with a focus on food preparation and cooking techniques
* Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations to ensure compliance within the kitchen
* Experience in meal preparation, with the ability to work efficiently under pressure
* Familiarity with various cooking methods and cuisines is an advantage
* Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team
