Job Description
The successful applicant will be responsible for, but not limited to:
* Working responsibly and safely in accordance with the Company’s Health and Safety Management System
* Working in accordance with the Company’s Quality Management System
* Reading and understanding of engineering drawings
* Reading and understanding Material Schedules
* Reading and understanding Quality Plans
* Goods inwards inspection in line with the Company’s procedures
* Material certification review and approval in line with the Company’s procedures
* Stock control and approval in line with the Company’s procedures
* In process and final inspections of equipment using tapes, micrometres, vernier callipers and Faro Arm (training provided), and the creation of inspection reports
* Equipment Calibration in line with the Company’s procedures
* Producing dimensional and other related QC reports in line with the Company’s procedures
* Assisting the Production Manager and QC Engineer during equipment manufacture and quality related matters
* A strong understanding of health and safety requirements
* Ability to read and understand engineering drawings
* General understanding of pressure equipment manufacture (pressure vessels and heat exchangers)
* General understanding and working knowledge of materials
* Experience with quality/environmental/safety management standards such as ISO 9001:2015
* Experience in manufacturing and inspection of equipment
* Ability to use inspection tools and equipment
* Strong organisational skills
* Ability to cope under pressure
* Keen attention to detail
A full driving licence is required for this role.
Knowledge of the industry is preferred but not essential — training will be provided.
