The Department of Psychiatry is based on the Warneford Hospital site in Oxford – a friendly, welcoming place of work with an international reputation for excellence. The Department has a substantial research programme, with major funding from Medical Research Council (MRC), Wellcome Trust and National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) and provides highly rated medical training in psychiatry. The Head of Department is Professor Belinda Lennox. Expectations include attending in person monthly team meetings. About the Role The post is funded to 31 March 2026 and is based in the Department of Psychiatry at the Warneford Hospital. The post is full time. The post holder is a member of a research group with responsibility for the provision of research support for the ARC project on risk assessment tools in psychiatry, and particularly in child and adolescent psychiatry. About You You will have or be close to completing a PhD/DPhil in a relevant subject (epidemiology, biostatistics or big data) and have experience of working with Swedish population registers on epidemiological studies. You will possess sufficient specialist knowledge and be able to manage your own academic research and associated activities. You will have excellent communications skills, including the ability to write for publication, present research proposals and results, and represent the research network at meetings.
