Job Title: Employee Onboarding & Experience ManagerLocation: Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire (Hybrid - 2-3 days on site)Salary: Circa £50,000 per annum (depending on experience)Hours: 37 per weekContract: Permanent Are you an experienced people leader with a passion for operational excellence and delivering an exceptional new starter experience? We're looking for a confident and compassionate leader from an administrative, onboarding or people shared services background to join us as our Employee Onboarding & Experience Manager. In this newly shaped role, you'll lead and bringing together two established teams into one, our Recruitment Coordinators and Onboarding Coordinators, unifying them under one purpose: to deliver a smooth, inclusive and engaging journey for every new Anglian Water new starter and employee. You'll be a key member of our leadership team, responsible for overseeing and continuously improving the full onboarding process, from interview coordination through to formal offers, pre-employment checks, and day one readiness. Your ability to lead people, drive high performance, and embed consistent processes will be critical to our success. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with proven leadership experience in a busy people-focused function to shape how we support our future talent. What you'll be doing:Leading, supporting, and developing two teams to deliver a first-class onboarding and coordination service.Managing key administrative processes such as interview scheduling, offer and contract generation, background checks, and compliance documentation.Collaborating closely with hiring managers, the wider People team, Occupational Health, and external providers to ensure a consistent and seamless experience.Embedding inclusive, candidate-focused practices that bring our employer brand to life.Using data, insight, and feedback to drive continuous improvements in service delivery and experience.Ensuring our onboarding and administration processes are efficient, compliant, and future-focused. What we're looking for:Proven experience leading a high-performing administration or shared services team (essential).Passionate about delivering excellent service and improving the colleague experience.Confident managing change and building high-trust, collaborative relationships across teams.Well-versed in governance and compliance standards related to onboarding, employment checks and data handling.Knowledge of UK employment law and right to work checks (desirable).Familiarity with HR or recruitment systems and digital onboarding tools (desirable).
