Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated FLT Driver / Picker to join our warehouse team. The successful candidate will be responsible for accurately selecting and preparing production requests ensuring that all items are handled with care and precision. This role requires a strong attention to detail, the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of safety and quality.
Responsibilities
* Load and unload goods from lorries and storage areas, ensuring proper handling techniques are used.
* Conduct regular checks on equipment and perform basic repairs as needed.
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation within the warehouse environment.
* Assist in shipping and receiving processes, ensuring all documentation is completed accurately.
* Perform heavy lifting as required, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
* Transportation of parts across and between internal sites sites via internal transportation systems and forklifts
* Support the management with stock counts utilising the resources that are made available to you, you will be notified by your line manager when the stock count is to take place (typically every 6 months).
* Ensure a safe working environment within the stores area and yard area for all employees, customers, clients and suppliers alike to whom have access.
* Responding and dealing with production requests, the level of demand will fluctuate from day to day/week by week. Put forward ideas to help manage the work “spikes”.
* Picking of production kits to a schedule
* Storage, delivery and dispatch of orders e.g. collating pallets of materials to be sent to internal and external customers
* Receipt of goods in including offloading and completion of receipt documents and processes
Qualifications
* Previous experience in a warehouse or materials handling role is preferred.
* B1 and B2 Licenses
* Proficient in operating forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely.
* Familiarity with warehouse management systems is advantageous.
* Strong mechanical knowledge for basic equipment repair tasks.
* Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 25 kg) consistently throughout the shift.
* Basic maths skills for accurate order processing and inventory management.
* A proactive approach to problem-solving and teamwork is essential.
