Pre‑Registration Pharmacy Technician (Training post) – Lehrman Cameron Studio, LLC
We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated individual to join our Pharmacy team at Glangwili General Hospital. This fixed‑term training contract – 24 months – offers the opportunity to gain the experience and qualifications needed to register with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
Salary: Annex 21 Band 4 – 70% of the top of band 4 in year 1, 75% in year 2.

This post is a fixed‑term training contract of 24 months, providing the opportunity to gain the required experience and qualification(s) needed to register as a pharmacy technician with the GPhC.
Role Overview
As a Pharmacy Technician you will work as part of a healthcare team, supporting medicines management in hospital settings, dispensing for in‑patients and out‑patients, purchasing and distribution, and ward‑based work. You will also develop skills that support registration with the GPhC and broaden your career opportunities.
Responsibilities
* Apply pharmacy practice skills across rotating areas of the hospital.
* Dispense medicines accurately and safely for in‑patients and out‑patients.
* Handle purchasing, distribution, and inventory control of medications.
* Work within multidisciplinary teams to optimise patient outcomes.
* Gain progressive experience that reflects the evolving role of Pharmacy Technicians.
Qualifications & Requirements
* Current or impending eligibility for GPhC registration.
* Methodical, caring, and detail‑oriented approach.
* English language proficiency; Welsh language ability desirable.
* Prior experience or training in pharmacy practice is advantageous but not mandatory.
Training & Development
During the 24‑month programme you will rotate through key pharmacy functions including:
* Dispensing for in‑patients and out‑patients
* Purchasing and distribution
* Ward‑based pharmacy tasks
Successful completion provides eligibility to apply for GPhC registration and future Pharmacy Technician roles.
