Job Description:
NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK, employing around 40,000 staff across various clinical and non-clinical roles. We provide acute hospital, primary, community, and mental health services to over 1.15 million people, expanding to 2.2 million when regional and national services are included.
The shift pattern for this post is Monday to Wednesday, 8am to 4pm. Salary is pro rata for part-time hours.
We are seeking experienced registered nurses to join the Acute Pain Service GGC. Applicants should have at least 5 years of experience at band 5.
The successful candidate will join a multidisciplinary team committed to safety, quality improvement, and patient-centered care. Flexibility to support the wider team as needed is essential.
We value individuals passionate about pain management, capable of empowering and educating the clinical team to deliver quality pain care.
Excellent communication skills and teamwork are vital. Candidates should have an understanding of the complex issues faced by patients with acute pain. We seek a flexible, team-oriented individual committed to person-centered care.
The role requires autonomous working within a small, supportive multidisciplinary team, managing a demanding caseload. Candidates should have a degree-level education and be willing to undertake Non-Medical Prescribing at level 1.
