This hands-on position is essential to maintaining operational readiness and ensuring the safe, secure, and effective use of Training Facilities.What to Expect:Standard hours: Mon–Thurs 07:50–17:00, Fri 07:50–16:00Occasional shifts between 07:00–23:00 to support flying operationsTypically 70% of work at Spadeadam, 30% across the UKOverseas deployments available on a rotational basis.If you're ready for a dynamic role with travel opportunities and real impact, we'd love to hear from you.Main Responsibilities:Operate and maintain radar systems across UK sitesConduct site assessments and perform preventative maintenance tasksDrive fleet vehicles and oversee secure access to operational locationsIdentify and report defects in equipment, ranges, and buildingsRespond appropriately to incidents involving unauthorised accessLiaise effectively with stakeholders and ensure accurate completion of documentationAssist with audit procedures and manage equipment inventoriesPerform Portable Appliance Testing (PAT) and other equipment checksMonitor building conditions and report maintenance requirements promptlyKnowledge & Skills we are looking for:Understanding of COSHH, Manual Handling, Risk Assessments, and Safe Systems of WorkExcellent communication skillsAbility to Accurately report and complete documentationFamiliarity with Range Standing OrdersStrong IT proficiencyFull valid UK driving licence is essential due to travel requirementsSkills That Would Strengthen Your ApplicationWhile not essential, the following qualifications and experience would be advantageous:ONC in Electrical/Electronic EngineeringHealth & Safety trainingExperience with overhead cranes or access platformsLGV and/or trailer licencePAT Testing certificationWhy Join Us?This is a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic environment supporting critical training operations.
