Are you a Project Management (Infrastructure) professional looking to work on projects that make a difference and enhance the world around us? If so, we are looking to attract the finest talent to be part of this journey.

We are looking for Assistant Project Managers and Project Managers (Infrastructure) to join our teams across our North, Midlands and Scotland Region operating from 8 regional offices, to work on a variety of interesting and challenging projects, both nationally and locally. You will be joining a growing team of like-minded people that have a passion for innovation and delivering cutting edge solutions.

Here's what you'll do

* Lead or support Project Management commissions, taking responsibility for their successful delivery.
* Ensure commissions are managed and completed efficiently, on time and to the client’s satisfaction.
* Accountable for delivery of projects in a safe & environmentally responsible manner to time, cost and quality, in accordance with the GRIP or PACE.
* Manage multi-disciplinary teams including commercial, programme controls, engineering, and others to deliver the client requirements.
* Support the project sponsor in preparing and maintaining definitions of the project requirements.
* Identify and monitor project risks (threats and opportunities), plan and implement mitigations to them, and respond to other issues that affect the project.
* Managing stakeholders, taking account of their levels of influence and particular interests.
* Managing project reviews at appropriate points throughout the project lifecycle which will inform governance decisions of projects by providing evaluations of progress, performance, risk, contingency, and continuing relevance.
* Accountable for managing the safe and effective delivery of all projects from low complexity single discipline through to high complexity multi-disciplinary projects to meet client requirements to time, cost, quality, and performance.
* Consolidating and documenting the fundamental components of projects (scope, schedule, resource requirements, budgets, risks, opportunities and issues, and quality requirements).
* Understand the value of the programme/project beyond the financial impact, coordinating multi- discipline teams to agreed and achievable objectives
* Establish, and implement, where necessary, protocols to change the scope of projects and update configuration documents as required. 
* Accountable for the production and maintenance of project documentation, including timelines, resource allocation, project execution strategies and reports. 
* Provide support to SPM on contract management services on NEC4 contracts, administering through a contract management system. 
* Ensure compliance with the Construction Design Management Regulations Act of 2015. 
* Advise the client on procurement strategies and review tender documentation. 
* Provide effective support and mentoring to Graduates and Apprentices.

Approach to all projects requires a high degree of flexibility and creativity, excellent presentational skills and an ability to communicate effectively with clients and consultants. The successful candidate shall be charged with the delivery of Project Management Services within our Client focused and highly motivated professional team.

Here’s what we’re looking for

* A minimum 3 years’ experience, providing a full spectrum of PM services including general contract management and administration, proactively engaging with relevant stakeholders and ensuring delivery within the agreed parameters.
* Demonstrable experience and knowledge of NEC3/4 contract management, ideally with Accreditation.
* A relevant degree such as in project management, engineering, environmental science, construction, or relevant subject. Alternatively, relevant experience in industry would be considered acceptable for exceptional candidates.
* Experience of working in the Rail industry with an understanding of railway systems and processes such as GRIP or PACE.
* Successful relevant experience in a project environment including experience in team management, planning, contracting and delivery of projects.
* Experience of project budget management and ability to understand and interpret commercial and financial landscapes (budgets, forecasts, actual status).
* Application of Construction Design Management within the rail industry.
* Knowledge of railway assets and how they are managed.
* Experience in the built environment as client-side Project Manager
* A project management qualification such as APM PMQ or PRINCE2 would be desirable.
* Ability to undertake and successfully complete security screening checks.
* Demonstrable experience resource planning and supporting the development of less experienced resources within the team
* Membership of a related professional body preferably (APM, CIOB) would be desirable
