Job Title: FP&A ANALYST
Immediate Manager: FP&A MANAGER
JOB PURPOSE
To lead and develop analysis for the Motor Fuel Group, supporting the management team to drive the business forward.
To develop insight through performance analysis of the retail, fuel and forecourt businesses.
MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES
* Provide analytical support and insight to the Retail, Operations, Fuel, Valet and Development teams
* Assist in the Production of weekly MI and Exec reports
* Provide Business Partnering in conjunction with the FP&A Manager to the Valeting and Development teams
* Run development appraisals for Retail, Food Service, EV and Valeting projects
* Provide insight and analysis on the MFG development programme including capex reporting and Return on Capital Employed analysis
* Build and maintain a capital allocation model allowing capital costs to be reported within the correct project type
* Support monthly reporting of Capex costs
* Develop customer friendly ‘front end’ reporting of trends
* Support the production of the MFG Board report
* Support the budgeting and forecasting process taking ownership of account lines / businesses areas as required
* Monthly reporting and analysis of site interruption and closure and Other Forecourt Income
* Ad hoc analysis to support various business initiatives.
* Continuous improvement of business processes
WORK CONTEXT
The post is based at MFG’s Head office in St. Albans but some business travel may be required. Additional hours, over contracted working hours, may also be required to be worked from time to time to ensure the needs of the business are met.
LEVEL OF AUTONOMY AND DECISION-MAKING
The post holder is required to make decisions on their areas of responsibility. The post holder has a zero limit for revenue expenditure and capital expenditure.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED
* Part Qualified, ACA, ACCA, CIMA.
* Commercially intuitive with strong business partnering and communication skills.
* Experience of working in a data-driven organisation in a multisite environment, would be desirable.
* Advanced excel modelling skills and comfortable with financial and non-financial data manipulation.
* Working understanding of database structures and SQL would be desirable
* Knowledge of Oracle NetSuite would be desirable
* ‘Hands on’ approach to support the senior leadership team, analyse performance and resolve issues.
* Naturally inquisitive with a can-do attitude
* Numerate, analytical and detail orientated.
* Ability to provide insight and challenge to all levels of the business.
* Experience of developing high quality financial processes from conception to launch.
