Occupational Therapist – Adult Community Mental Health
Role Summary
This part‑time, 18.75 hour per week, fixed‑term (12 months) Occupational Therapist (Band 5) position is within Renfrewshire Occupational Therapy Community Mental Health Services at NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde. The shift pattern is Monday to Friday. HCPC registration is essential.
Key Responsibilities
* Care management/key worker for clients with severe and/or enduring mental health difficulties.
* Specialist occupational therapy assessment and treatment for individuals and groups.
* Make recommendations to facilitate safe and independent living.
* Support clients with recovery through structured day activities, vocational rehabilitation, access to leisure, education and employability via individual and group work.
* Work within a dedicated Occupational Therapy MH service led by a Team Lead and Band 6/5 staff.
* Receive professional support, supervision and protected CPD time.
Qualifications & Skills
* HCPC registration.
* Excellent communication, negotiation and collaborative clinical skills.
* Creative and innovative approach to occupational therapy.
