Job Summary
Anord Mardix, a Flex company, are a global group that manufactures switchgear and associated products for installation in mission-critical and live commercial buildings ranging from data centres to the international headquarters of some of the world’s largest companies.As Revenue Accountant you will be responsible for managing and accurately recording total revenue, ensuring financial statements are compliant with relevant guidelines, and analysing data related to cash flow, assets, expenses, and sales. You will ensure accurate billing, payment collection, and revenue recognition, often working closely with sales, project management, and order-to-cash teams whilst leading on the development of gross margin reporting.What a typical day looks like:
1. Accurate Revenue Recording: Ensuring all revenue transactions are recorded accurately and in accordance with accounting principles
2. Compliance: Maintaining compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations
3. Revenue Recognition: Ensuring revenue is recognized at the appropriate time and in the correct amount
4. Payment Collection: Monitoring payment collection and following up on outstanding invoices
5. Data Analysis: Analysing financial data, including cash flow, assets, expenses, and sales
6. Reporting: Preparing and reviewing revenue reports
7. Collaboration: Working with sales, project management, and other teams to ensure accurate revenue reporting
8. Variance Investigation: Investigating any variances in revenue figures and ensuring they are accurately accounted for
9. Financial Statements: Assisting with the preparation of financial statements, including the income statement
10. Management of 2 Accountants within existing team
The experience we’re looking to add to our team:
11. Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent) or studying towards recognised accounting qualification
12. Minimum 3 years’ experience, preferably with a manufacturing business
13. Strong understanding of accounting principles and revenue recognition standards
14. Ability to analyse financial data and identify trends
15. Strong attention to detail and accuracy
16. Good communication and interpersonal skills
17. Proficiency in accounting software and systems
18. Experience with ERP systems would be advantageous
