Endoscopy Staff Nurse/ODP - Scunthorpe
The role is a full‑time 7‑day service in the Endoscopy Unit at Scunthorpe General Hospital and Diana, Princess of Wales Hospital, Grimsby. Closing date: 09 June 2026.
Main duties of the job
* Provide nursing or ODP care during diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures, including upper and lower GI, bronchoscopy and ERCP.
* Support the UGI endoscopy team with clinical audit, cannulation and training of junior staff.
* Deliver a 7‑day service with out‑of‑hours emergency response for gastrointestinal emergencies.
* Participate in preceptorship/training to develop required skills and knowledge.
Person Specification
Education and Qualifications
* Registered Nurse or ODP with relevant registration.
* Diploma in Nursing/BSc (Hons) ODP or Diploma (H.E) in ODP.
* Qualification or working towards qualification as a mentor (ENB 998 or equivalent).
Experience
* Training in cannulation and clinical audit skills.
