Job Overview

As a Digital & Data Senior Network Officer at Tees, Esk and Wear Valleys NHS Foundation Trust (TEWV) you will play a pivotal role in delivering and managing a modern, resilient and secure digital network across 100 Trust sites and partner networks. In addition, you will be responsible for delivering and managing the Trusts network infrastructure in conjunction with the network manager. The Trust utilise modern Cisco technologies which have recently undergone major investment and a complete overhaul of all Switching, routing and wireless infrastructure utilising Cisco DNAC at the heart of the network. We are looking for an enthusiastic, well organised solutions engineer who lives our values of respect, compassion and responsibility to assist with the implementation of our Digital and Data Journey to Change (see attachment). This is a unique opportunity to work within a Cisco SDA network and enhance your existing skillset. You will provide proactive system support to maintain and develop a comprehensive network and telecommunications systems infrastructure and associated devices within the Trust. This includes monitoring and maintaining the Trust IT Network infrastructure, its environment and associated systems. Carry out monitoring of the Network, Telecommunications and Network Security devices and environments to ensure the integrity of the environments and to maximise performance for end users. Ensure that effective Incident and problem management processes are followed and are actively manages calls in accordance with SLA's, utilising escalation processes both internal and external when required. Follow the change control process for all changes to the Network, Telecommunications and Network Security estate, that incorporate standard, normal and emergency changes, including supplier led changes and system upgrades. Technical Knowledge

* Good technical knowledge in one of more of the following areas:
* Network Design
* Cisco IOS/IOS-XE Software
* Wireless Network Technologies managed by Cisco Catalyst Centre, and using basics of Cisco ISE
* Telephony Technologies
* Network Security utilising IPS/IDS technologies
* Network Circuits, switch support and development requiring excellent Layer 2 and 3 skills
* Network management tools including PRTG and Cisco Catalyst Centre.
* Network Routing Protocols
* Remote Access Solutions
* MPLS
* VLAN's
* TCP/IP
* VPN's

Fixed Term Posts

If the contract type on the vacancy states 'Fixed Term' this would mean the vacancy is being advertised to address a temporary need for the duration stipulated on the advert, however, in the event that permanent funding is secured for the post the successful applicant will be confirmed in post on a permanent basis.
