The job itself
The Federation of Rawcliffe and Rawcliffe Bridge Primary Schools is looking to appoint a full-time nursery nurse to join our team, ideally from September 2026. Applicants must have a ‘full and relevant’ qualification as identified by the DfE.
The role will involve working across our FS, Y1 and Y2 classes, mainly supporting our younger FS children, leading maths and phonics groups, planning, preparing and maintaining play-based provision within the indoor and outdoor Foundation areas.
Applications are invited from enthusiastic, caring individuals with a commitment to supporting teaching and learning for all, within a nurturing environment. Ideally you will have experience of working within a school nursery/reception setting.
Experience of working alongside outside agencies such as the Speech and Language Service, occupational therapists, Sensory and Physical Therapy Service (SaPTS) would be advantageous.
The successful candidate will:
1. Have a recognised Early Years qualification (Level 3 or above).
2. Be passionate about supporting young children’s learning, development and wellbeing.
3. Have a good understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
4. Be able to build warm, positive relationships with children, families and colleagues.
5. Be committed to inclusive practice and safeguarding.

In this role you are required to speak English with sufficient fluency to effectively perform your duties, as required by Section 42 of the Immigration Act 2016.
