The Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine (LSTM) is seeking a Programme Administrator to join our Programme Management team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to support a portfolio of cutting-edge research programmes aimed at improving maternal and neonatal health in low-resource settings, particularly within Sub-Saharan Africa and Asia.
As a Programme Administrator, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the NIHR Global Health Unit on the Prevention and Management of Stillbirths and Neonatal Deaths, alongside other high-impact projects focused on reducing maternal and neonatal mortality.
The successful candidate will provide high-level administrative support to a dynamic research environment. You will be highly motivated, efficient, well-organised, pro-active, and be able to take initiative.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide day to day administrative support to the Director of CWNH and the wider CWNH team
* Maintain office information systems and databases to maintain appropriate records of research activities
* Manage all travel arrangements for team members
* Organise team meetings, seminars and events as required
* Process all items of expenditure including credit cards, purchase orders, invoices etc.
* Organise Unit related meetings of Country Leads, Management Group, International Advisory Board including preparation of agendas and associated papers, minute taking and following up actions
* Support the preparation of communication and dissemination materials, including website and social media channels
* Support quarterly finance reporting with partners in Africa and Asia, providing guidance and support on funder compliance
* Be a point of contact for partners to maintain records of research outputs and impact, supporting monitoring and evaluation for programme reporting
The ideal candidate will demonstrate
* Educated to GCE A Level (A-C) or equivalent
* Experience of providing diary management and administrative support to senior members of a team
* Experience of providing high level administrative support across projects including organizing multi-partner meetings
* Understanding of university finance, research and administrative systems
* Understanding of research funding regulations, budgets, compliance and reporting
* Experience of managing travel arrangements for international meetings including completion of risk assessments
* Excellent time management and organisational skills
