Project Director - Cambridge Ridgeway & Co are currently partnering with a number of Tier 1 and rapidly growing main contractors across Cambridge, seeking experienced Project Directors to lead the successful delivery of major, high-profile construction projects across a variety of sectors, including:
Education (Schools & Colleges) Healthcare Laboratories & Life Sciences Commercial Offices
These opportunities offer competitive salaries of up to £120,000 per annum, depending on experience, along with excellent prospects for career progression within well-established and expanding organisations. This is a senior leadership position, responsible for overseeing multiple projects or large-scale flagship developments, ensuring strategic delivery, operational excellence, and strong commercial performance. Key Responsibilities
Provide strategic leadership across one or multiple projects from pre-construction through to completion Oversee Project Managers and wider delivery teams Ensure all projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards Drive commercial performance, including cost control and margin improvement Lead stakeholder engagement at senior level, including clients and consultants Ensure full compliance with health & safety and regulatory requirements Report directly to senior executives and contribute to business growth strategies
Requirements
Proven experience in a Project Director or Senior Project Manager role within the construction industry Strong track record of delivering large-scale, complex projects Exceptional leadership and team management capabilities Highly commercial with strong financial and contractual understanding Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills Relevant construction or project management qualifications
