We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Corporate Manager to lead our Local Environment & Fleet Service. This is a key leadership role within Ceredigion County Council, providing strategic direction and expert advice on:
* Circular Economy & Local Environment Strategy
* Local Environment Operations
* Fleet Operations & Maintenance
About the role
You will act as the lead advisor to the Council on all Local Environment and Fleet matters, ensuring services are delivered efficiently, consistently, and in line with corporate objectives. This role involves the management of a large, multi-disciplinary team (including direct supervision of three Service Managers) and overseeing significant budgets exceeding £8m per annum.
You will also play a critical role in emergency response planning, policy development, and driving innovation to achieve the highest standards of performance across our services.
About You
We are looking for an individual who:
* Is educated to degree level (or equivalent experience) and demonstrates ongoing professional development.
* Has at least 5 years’ experience managing teams, with a proven track record of improving performance and delivering high-quality outcomes.
* Possesses a thorough understanding of legislation and regulation relating to Local Environment & Fleet services.
* Demonstrates strong leadership, strategic thinking, and the ability to manage change effectively.
