CNC Programmer / Setter (Milling and/or Turning)
Location: Long Eaton, Nottingham (NG10)
Pay:
* Up to £18.00 per hour – experienced Programmer/Setter
* Around £16.50 per hour – experienced Setter (depending on skills and capability)
Hours: Monday to Thursday 06:30 – 16:00, Friday 06:30 – 12:30
Employment: Permanent, full-time
About the Company
A well-established subcontract precision engineering company based in Long Eaton, supplying high-quality machined components to the automotive, rail, and general engineering sectors. Due to continued growth, they are looking for an experienced CNC Programmer/Setter to join their skilled and friendly team.
The Role
* Setting and programming CNC milling and turning machines for small to medium batch work.
* Loading tooling, setting offsets, and proving out new jobs from engineering drawings.
* Creating and adjusting programs at the machine to optimise efficiency and accuracy.
* Carrying out first-off and in-process inspections using micrometers, verniers, and gauges.
* Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised work area.
Machine & Control Details
* Milling Controls: Hurco WinMax and Siemens
* Turning Controls: Hurco WinMax, Fanuc, and Sinumerik
(Experience with other control systems is also welcome – full training can be provided on these controls.)
Requirements
* Proven experience in setting and/or programming CNC milling or turning machines.
* Familiar with Hurco, Siemens, Fanuc, or Sinumerik controls.
* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
* Quality-focused, reliable, and self-motivated.
* Able to work both independently and as part of a small team.
