Job Title: Animal Instructor Keeper

About Role:
We currently have an exciting opportunity for an Instructor Keeper to join our Animal Management Department here at our Middlesbrough campus. We are looking for a highly motivated individual who is capable of working with others and is responsible, passionate and knowledgeable about the overall animal management sector and has an enthusiastic approach to animal husbandry and welfare.
The post will require you to work with a range of species within the park and deliver practical modules from Entry Level to Level 3 including assessments.
Key Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Animal Unit Manager, responsibilities include the day to day care and management of the animal section, general cleaning, feeding, maintenance and record keeping for the animal species. You will be required to work in all sections including reptile/amphibian, farm livestock and small mammals. The ideal candidate would have sound knowledge of farm livestock and/or small mammals however this can be discussed at interview and we strongly encourage applicants with other relevant specialities to apply.
Applicants should be educated to degree level or have at least a Level 3 in an animal related subject and evidence of vast industry experience.
The interview process will include a practical assessment to demonstrate your ability to work confidently with animals.

Start Date: The College operates 2 starter/induction days per month to welcome and onboard new members. These are usually the first Monday and third Wednesday of each month (unless there is a bank holiday).
