Private Client Solicitor – Locum

Working pattern: Full-time, office-based with hybrid considered
A well-established Hampshire firm is seeking an experienced Private Client Solicitor to provide locum cover during a period of permanent recruitment. This role offers the opportunity to manage a busy and varied caseload, with strong secretarial support and modern systems in place (LEAP and Quill).
The caseload will include:
1. Managing Court of Protection applications, including complex or contentious cases
2. Supporting Attorneys and Deputies, including the preparation of Court of Protection reports
3. Advising on and preparing Lasting Powers of Attorney, as well as registering existing Enduring Powers of Attorney
4. Preparing Wills of all types, from simple to highly complex, including those incorporating life interest and discretionary trusts
5. Drafting declarations of trust for jointly owned property
6. Guiding clients through the process of obtaining Grants of Representation
7. Overseeing the full administration of estates, including drafting deeds of variation
Requirements:
8. Strong private client experience, including complex estates and Court of Protection work
9. Ability to manage a full caseload independently
10. Previous locum experience is advantageous
