TheElectrical Project ManagerOpportunityWe are looking for a high-calibreElectrical Project Managerto oversee the full lifecycle of complex industrial projects. This role demands a leader who can balance technical execution with rigorous commercial control and safety management. You will be responsible for everything from pre-mobilisation planning to final delivery, ensuring projects remain on schedule, within budget, and compliant with the highest HSEQ standards.
Electrical Project ManagerKey Responsibilities
* Project Leadership:Oversee Construction, HSEQ, Commercial, and Project Controls functions. Ensure the site organisation is effective and that all staff understand their delegated responsibilities.
* Commercial & Budgetary Control:Validate budgets, monitor project measures, and investigate man-hour deviations. Work with Quantity Surveyors on monthly progress applications and manage early warnings/variations.
* Planning & Execution:Prepare pre-construction requirements (RAMS, ITPs, HSE Plans). Monitor labour deployment, equipment usage, and construction drawings to manage ongoing changes.
* Stakeholder Management:Act as the primary point for official client correspondence, attend site meetings, and chair internal progress reviews.
* Subcontractor & Procurement:Manage the full subcontract cyclefrom tender evaluation and selection to forecasting and contract closeout.
* Mentorship:Technical guidance for project teams and the mentoring of junior to intermediate staff.
Electrical Project ManagerRequirements
* Experience:10+ years of construction experience, including at least 5 years in a leadership role (Construction Manager or Project Manager level).
* Education:Degree in Engineering or a relevant post-secondary construction/trades qualification.
* Sector Expertise:Strong preference for candidates with a background inOil & Gas, Power Generation, or Heavy Industrialenvironments.
* Technical Knowledge:Deep understanding of project controls (scheduling, tendering, planning), contract law, and construction safety legislation.
* Software:Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel for reporting and data analysis.
