Morson Talent is delighted to partner with a leading infrastructure organisation to recruit a Structures Engineer to join their Asset Management division. This role plays a vital part in supporting and developing safe and sustainable infrastructure solutions across a major road network.
Working as part of a multi-disciplinary team, you'll help identify asset needs, manage structural assessments, and contribute to the development and delivery of long-term maintenance strategies.
Key Responsibilities: Support the management of highway structures assets by preparing survey briefs and reviewing survey outcomes
Collaborate with technical partners to deliver assessment works and treatment option development
Undertake early-stage design and option development aligned with national standards
Carry out structural reviews in accordance with CS 451 and perform assessments using relevant DMRB methodologies
Assist in developing long-term programmes and scheme options, focusing on cost-efficiency, buildability, and safety
Ensure effective documentation and reporting to support investment decisions and value management processes
About You: Degree or HND in Civil Engineering or a related discipline, with relevant experience
Working towards (or holding) a professional qualification (e.g., IEng/CEng with ICE or similar)
Demonstrable experience in structural inspections, renewals design or assessments
Familiarity with UK highways standards including DMRB, MCHW, Eurocodes
Understanding of CDM 2015 and its practical application in highway projects
Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
A full UK driving licence (max 3 points) is essential
