We are now seeking a dedicated Rental Vehicle Preparation and Delivery Driver to join our team. Location: Portadown Hours of work: Monday Friday 8.30am - 5.30pm and alternate Saturday 9.00am - 1.00pm The Role The purpose of the Rental Vehicle Preparation and Delivery Operative is to prepare vehicles to the highest standard prior to each hire. This includes both valeting and carrying out basic safety checks as well as delivering and collecting customers and / or vehicles in a friendly, courteous and professional manner. The post holder will strive to promote the professionalism of the department and dealership encouraging repeat and referral work, thereby contributing to the achievement of departmental sales targets. The role involves planning travel arrangements efficiently in terms of fuel consumption and time taken to ensure consumable usage is economical. The suitable candidate must be pro-active and work with their own initiative as well as part of a team. This is a very busy role; therefore, the job holder will need be flexible and have a Can do attitude. The Person The ideal candidate will be an excellent communicator and have a commitment to delivering outstanding customer service. It is essential for the successful candidate to have a valid clean driving licence. The ability to drive a van with a trailer is an essential requirement of the role. A C1 category license or higher is desirable. Preference will be given to applicants with previous experience in a similar role within the motor industry. A willingness to learn is vital to the role as full training will be provided to the right individual.
